How to Support Learning at Home (Home Collaboration)
We work very hard in school during our school day to provide a challenging curriculum for all our pupils with accessibility for all.
We do know some would still like the option of homework and therefore we have a new approach this method will also be used for snow days and school closures as well.
Our new approach - ‘Home Collaboration’
Reading expectations remain – pupils should be reading daily either their phonics/reading book on Reading Buddy
Maths - Number bots and Times Tables Rockstars remain for pupils to do weekly
Spelling - whole year spelling lists - optional to practice if you wish
Knowledge Organisers - so you know what we are covering - optional to practice if you wish
KS1 and KS2 TAFS - optional to practice if you wish
Year 6 SATS tasks Spring term for Year 6 pupils to do weekly and support transition into Secondary
Experience tasks - a grid per year group of what you could do as a family e.g. visit a museum optional
Year 6 SATs Tasks
Year 6 have been given a set of SATs work booklets to take home with them to complete in preparation for the SATs in May. These packs are to be completed weekly, following the instructions on the packs on how to complete them. Each child has received a pack for GPS and Reading and two packs for Maths. The links to these packs can be found below.

Reading Rocks
We promote reading at home with our ‘Reading Rocks’ initiative. Class teachers will check the reading record books each week and award Dojo points to individual children accordingly and the class with the most points at the end of the half term will win a prize! It is important for each child to have their reading book and record book in school with them every day, even if they are not yet ready to change it.
Pupils should be reading daily either their phonics/reading book or Reading Buddy.
Reading books with children is a great way to spend family time. Research shows that exploring books can have lots of benefits for kids, and it's also just fantastic family fun.
